New Sales and Marketing Director at Oxford Semiconductor to spearhead global expansion

James Foster has been appointed Sales and Marketing Director by silicon connectivity specialists, Oxford Semiconductor. He was previously Business Development Manager at Lucent Microelectronics and prior to that his experience includes roles as both Field Applications Manager and Regional Sales Manager for Lattice Semiconductor.

Foster's job at Oxford Semiconductor will be to continue the company's world-wide expansion. The recent introduction of a FireWire bridge chip has led to rapid growth in demand for the Oxford Semiconductor's products and the appointment of a new Sales and Marketing Director is the start of a major recruitment drive by the company aimed at doubling the number of staff this year.

James Foster has a degree in electronics from the University of Hull and an MBA from the UK Open University. Commenting on the new role, he said: "Oxford Semiconductor is an exciting and innovative young company, I'm looking forward to contributing towards their future success."
