Oxford Semiconductor opens Taiwan office
Connectivity IC specialist Oxford Semiconductor has announced the opening of an office in Taipei. The new office will provide local commercial and technical support to the company's rapidly expanding Greater China market.
Reporting to Oxford Semiconductor's Asia Sales Manager William Wong, new recruits appointed to the Taiwan office include Regional Sales Manager, Gene Lin and Technical Applications Manager, Hung Chi.
Buoyant sales of its FireWire / IDE bridge ICs and UART products have seen Oxford Semiconductor experience strong continuous growth in the region since the company established its Singapore office in 2000.
"This exciting move acknowledges the pivotal role Taiwan is playing in the development of our key consumer electronics markets," said William Wong. "As well as helping to improve local customer service, the Taiwan office will provide us with the market intelligence we need to proactively respond to rapidly changing customer demands."
