Oxford joins Fabless Semiconductor Association
Oxford Semiconductor has joined the Fabless Semiconductor Association (FSA) as a voting member. Operating a highly successful fabless business model since its foundation in 1992, Oxford joins more than 450 existing member companies.
An innovator of connectivity ICs and embedded software used by many of the world's best known IT product brands, Oxford Semiconductor is regarded as market leader in the external disk drive sector with its series of high performance Firewire to IDE bridge chips.
Oxford Semiconductor CEO James Foster said: "Our in-depth experience of fabless operation in our particular market niche means we have much specialist knowledge to bring to the FSA. We see our membership as an opportunity to share ideas with like-minded companies, as a means to increase market intelligence and as a strategic input to continuous growth."
"As the leading voice on the outsourcing business model, the FSA
is excited to welcome Oxford Semiconductor as a new FSA member. We look
forward to Oxford's participation in Association activities including
benchmarking surveys and educational seminars throughout the year,"
said Jodi Shelton, co-founder and executive director of the FSA.
